Pat snagged a 37 pound King around Shark Hole off the coast of Sitka. Caught on 20 pound test, baitcasting reel with linecounter. Bait was 4 inch herring. Depth was 120 up to 18 feet when strike occurred. King took out 225 feet of line on the longest of 5 runs. Time to boat 35 minutes. Pat previously caught and released 3 other kings within 2 hours ranging from 12 to 18 pounds. This one was the keeper. This is the biggest fish he has ever caught in his life.
